A team of
Special Cell led by Inspectors Lalit Mohan Negi, Hridaya Bhushan and Chandrika
Prasad has arrested Mohd Danish Jamal @ Sameer, s/o Jamal Ahmad, r/o Village Akbarpur Jojha,
PO & PS Gulawati, District Bulandshahar, UP, a
dreaded and rewarded criminal from near GB Road, Delhi. This
desperate gangster had flashed his pistol upon being surrounded by the police
party but was overpowered and apprehended in a professional operation. In a simultaneous
operation, one Deepak
Sirohi @ Bunty, s/o Rambir Singh, r/o Village Shera, PS B.V. Nagar, Bulandshahar,
UP, a close associate of above named Danish
Jamal, was also arrested from near Dilshad
Garden Metro Station parking while in possession of a sophisticated pistol.
Operation:
This team of the Special Cell, which has been working
on Inter-State gangsters, was looking for Danish Jamal for over the last six
months on a sustained basis. On 24/03/2015, an input was received that Danish
Jamal was planning to execute a heinous crime in Delhi and for this purpose; he
was expected to meet an associate near the Hanuman temple, backside of GB Road,
New Delhi, in late evening hours. It was also learnt that one Deepak, an associate
of Danish, will be meeting a contact near Dilshad Garden Metro Station parking and thereafter, will come to
join Danish. Acting swiftly, two separate teams laid traps near Hanuman temple,
backside of GB Road, New Delhi & around the parking of Dilshad Garden Metro Station. In late evening
hours, Danish Jamal was spotted coming on a black colour Pulser motorcycle. He stopped
his motor cycle near Shahganj crossing and started waiting for someone. Once
being positively identified, he was asked to surrender but instead, the
gangster whipped out his pistol and pointed it towards the police party while
trying to flee simultaneously. After a brief scuffle, the police party managed
to overpower him and took control of his pistol. A case under section 186/353/307
IPC & ss. 25/27/54/59 Arms Act has been registered at PS Special Cell in
this regard. The second team, around the same time, spotted Deepak Sirohi who was coming on a white
colour TVS Apache motorcycle from Ghaziabad side. After waiting for a while, as
soon as Deepak started moving, he was overpowered by the police party. On a cursory search, a revolver of 0.32 mm bore and four live
cartridges were found in his possession. Accordingly, a case under sections 25/54/59 Arms
Act has been registered at PS Special Cell in this regard.

Brief Profile of Danish:
Accused Danish @ Jamal @
Sabeer was born in District Bulandsheher, UP in 1988. His first major crime was
in the year registered vides FIR
No. 392/2009, u/ss. 392/302/34 IPC, PS Mandawali, Delhi wherein Danish
along with his associates had robbed a petrol pump owner on gunpoint and in the
process, had killed the guard who resisted the armed robbers.
Later, accused Danish along with his associates had robbed Rs 1.80 Lacs from
one Dinesh Mishra while he was coming after collecting his company’s cash
in the area of PS Jafrabad. After this, in 2010, accused
Danish along with his associates had robbed Rs. 55 Lacs from a businessman near
Jai Mata Di market, Keshav Puram on gunpoint and followed it up with another
sensational robbery of Rs. 49 Lacs on gunpoint from the employees of Orient
Craft Company in Okhla Phase-I while the victim employees were carrying the
amount in a Wagon-R car after withdrawing the same from Corporation Bank,
M-Block, GK-II, Delhi.
In late 2010, the Special Cell
had apprehended 3 desperate inter-state robbers including Danish and had recovered
arms, ammunition, a Zen car and part of the looted cash of the above mentioned
heists. However, after spending about three years in jail, during which he
developed a strong network of criminals, he was granted bail in 2013. Accused
Danish is a first cousin of one Naasir, the most dreaded member of
Naasir-Hashim gang operating in Trans-Yamuna areas of Delhi. After committing
sensational crimes mentioned above, Danish became a key operative of the
Naasir-Hashim gang. While Danish was on bail, one Tabreiz, a close resource
person of Naasir was murdered by the henchmen of one Aakil @ Mama, who was the
tallest gangster in the area and was fighting a bitter turf war with
Naasir-Hashim gang. Danish seized the opportunity and in an act of daylight
brutality, committed the gruesome murder of one Aakil @ Mama, s/o Sadik, r/o Gali
No. 39/4, Jafrabad, Delhi. This murder was witnessed by one Zahid, the brother
of deceased Aakil @ Mama.
Ever since then, Danish was
planning the liquidation of Zahid. On 19/05/2014, accused Danish along with his
associates fired several rounds at Zahid who suffered critical bullet injuries on
his chest but survived. A case of attempt to murder was registered at PS Jafrabad
on the statement of victim Zahid in this regard. After this incident, victim
Zahid was provided round the clock police protection. Even an armed PSO
couldn’t discourage this desperate gangster who along with his associates, on
10/10/2015, intercepted the motorcycle of Zahid at Main Road, Jafrabad and after
throwing chilli powder in the eyes of the PSO, opened indiscriminate firing on Zahid
who died at the spot. Since then, Danish had become synonymous with terror in
Trans-Yamuna Delhi and neighbouring districts of western Uttar Pradesh.
While being on the run, he got
involved in another contract killing in the area of PS New Friends Colony along
in conspiracy with the other arrested accused Deepak and others. He had been
declared a ‘Proclaimed Offender’ as he had jumped bail in the case investigated
by the Special Cell. While he had come to Delhi to conspire for another heinous
crime, he was apprehended by the Special Cell.
Brief Profile of Deepak Sirohi:
Accused Deepak Sirohi was born
in District Bulandsheher, UP in 1985. After completing his higher secondary, he
joined UP Home Guards and served for about five years. After leaving Home Guards,
he started working as a property dealer. As a property dealer, he got in touch
with one Imran (presently in Dasna Jail), an associate of Danish who had come
to him for a rented accommodation. Gradually, Deepak became close friends with
Imran and through him, befriended accused Danish and one another desperate
criminal, namely, Ible Hassan (presently in Tihar Jail). Deepak along with Ible
Hassan and Danish and others executed a contract killing in which a prominent
manpower agent of South Delhi namely Farrukh was killed at the behest of his
business rival who was settled abroad in a West Asian country. In August/September
2014, the conspiracy to murder Farrukh Khan, r/o Okhla was hatched. Accused
Deepak Sirohi was given the task to conduct reconnaissance of the movements of
deceased Farrukh Khan. On 22/09/14, accused Deepak informed about the movements
of deceased Farrukh Khan to Ible Hassan and his associates who, following the
leads, committed cold blooded murder of Farrukh. A case vides FIR No. 417/2014,
u/s. 302 IPC had been registered at PS New Friends Colony in this regard. Since
all efforts of local police could not yield any clue which could lead to the
working out of this case, a reward of Rs. 1,00,000/- was declared by the
Commissioner of Police, Delhi for cracking the same. With the arrest of Deepak
and Danish, this unsolved murder case has also been worked out.

powder in the eyes of the PSO, had killed Zahid by indiscriminate firing.

On
19/05/2014, accused Danish along with his associates had attempted the murder
of Zahid who had suffered bullet injury on his chest but survived.

In the intervening night of 13th/14th/11/13,
accused Danish along with his associates had killed one Aakil @
Mama, r/o Jafrabad, Delhi by firing several shots over a long turf rivalry.

Accused Danish along with his associates had robbed Rs. 49 Lacs on
gunpoint from the employees of Orient Craft Company in Okhla Phase-I while they
